Peek Inside Michigan Football Stadium

September 7th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Michigan Football Games

Hey Michigan Football Parking Pals and Tailgators, this week, Nikki and I joined in Wolverine fandom and attended the first half of the Michigan vs. Miami of Ohio match.

This was Nikki’s first University of Michigan football game. Here’s us getting into the stadium:

While getting through the game is really exciting, getting into the actual stands was a little more mind-blowing.

If you’ve never been to a University of Michigan football game, you likely haven’t seen some of the cheers, so here’s a few:

M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N! Chant

Cheerleaders High Kick

Game Kick Off:

Do you have videos or Photos from inside the stadium? Share your links. We’d love to see them!

Sealed Water Bottles Allowed in Michigan Football Stadium

20080905-water-bottle-shrff14-flickr Sealed Water Bottles Allowed in Michigan Football StadiumMany fans were upset during the sunbaked Michigan-Utah opening game during Labor Day Weekend.

But Wolverines fans weren’t just perturbed because Michigan dropped its second consecutive opening day game.

Nay.

Many Michigan footballers complained that the University of Michigan Football stadium charged high prices for bottled water ($4 per 25 oz. bottle) and provided no free water sources, su ch as drinking fountains.

Fans can be better prepared this week. Here’s some info reported by the Ann Arbor News regarding drinking water at Michigan Football Stadium:

  • Drinking Fountains: 4 new public drinking fountains are located near Gate 9, on the Michigan Stadium’s North side.
  • Free Water: 4 of 7 Absopure tents offer free 8-oz. cups of water, 2 located near the south end, 1 near the NW corner of the student section and the other on the east side by Crisler Arena.
  • Bottled Water: Michigan fans CAN bring in their own sealed bottled water to the game. MGoBlue confirms the allowance of sealed clear plastic water bottles

This week, the Michigan-Football-Parking crew will offer two free bottled waters per vehicle that parks at our house.

If we have any left over, we’ll hand out bottled waters to other fans too! (wish we could help everyone).

See you on game day.

(p.s. We’re all filled up this week friends, see you at the end of the month)
